S. Korea to toughen radiation checks on Japanese industrial imports

The Korea Customs Service is going to inspect industrial products imported from Japan more thoroughly to check for high levels of radiation.
In a written response to a question from lawmakers today,... the agency said,.... it will use new equipment to check radiation levels on site... rather than sending off samples for tests, which takes more than a week.
The customs service said it will ask the government to triple the number of employees doing the inspections.
