South Korea is putting tighter safety checks on Japanese food imports... starting today.
According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the government is doubling the number of inspections on food imports from Japan... that have a record of being sent back due to radioactive contamination.
The food ministry also plans to double the amount of samples inspected.
The new measures will be applied to 17 products including tea and chocolate.
