Gov't strengthens measures to prevent new industrial tech leaks

The government has also strengthened measures to prevent the leaking of new industrial technology to foreign firms.
At the same ministerial meeting on Thursday... the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said it will require all local companies possessing crucial technology to report to authorities when merging with, or acquiring, foreign companies.
It'll also fine tech leakers up to three times the amount of damages,... and confiscate any economic gains that were amassed through leaking technology.
The ministry says more than 20 cases of tech leaks, including those related to the country's core industries like semiconductors, have been reported almost every year.
