Japan posted a trade deficit for the second straight month in August.
Tokyo's finance ministry says exports came to roughly 57 billion dollars,… down eight-point-two percent on-year, while imports were down 12 percent.
Some experts say a factor may have been South Koreans' boycott of Japanese products and travel to Japan.
The number of South Korean tourists heading to Japan in August saw the steepest on-year drop on record.
According to the Japan National Tourism Organization, the number of South Korean tourists in August was less than 309-thousand,… 48 percent lower than the same month last year.
It's also six times lower than the figure for July when South Koreans started their boycott.
