South Korea's national security advisor Suh Hoon met for talks with top Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi this morning to discuss bilateral affairs.
Yang is in the southern port city of Busan for a two-day visit that began Friday the first high-level visit from China since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The two officials likely discussed ways to cooperate against COVID-19,... Korean Peninsula affairs,... as well as a potential visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to South Korea.
Attention is also on whether Yang called for South Korea's support amid heightening geopolitical rivalry between China and U.S.
