The number of new COVID-19 cases here in South Korea increased by over three-hundred... for the second consecutive day.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters said Saturday... new infections spiked by 332 from the previous day... with the total number of cases currently tallied at over 17-thousand.
Of the new infections, 315 were locally transmitted... most of them arising from Seoul.
During the past two weeks... there was a sharp rise in high-risk patients as 32-percent of the confirmed patients were 65 years old or older.
Also, the proportion of confirmed patients... in which their infection route is unclear... has surpassed 20-percent... the highest since related data was compiled.
