S. Korean ambassador to U.S. calls early Moon-Biden summit important

South Korea's ambassador to the U.S. is stressing the importance of an early summit between President Moon and Joe Biden.
Speaking to reporters in Washington Tuesday, Lee Soo-hyuck said it's vital South Korea and the U.S. hold a summit as early as possible when the new administration takes office,... to bolster the alliance and make progress on the Korean peace process.
Lee added that, longer term, Seoul will study the U.S. strategy on China and multilateralism,... to come up with their own measures.
He said a Biden administration is likely to return to traditional diplomacy,... adding Biden has hired experts on affairs to do with the Peninsula.
He also put emphasis on cooperation with the U.S. on COVID-19.
