Amid increased hopes and expectations for the second North Korea-U.S. summit,.... the shortlist of venues is starting to get narrowed down.
Yondon Otgonbayar, Mongolia's ambassador to the U.S. said in his interview with Voice of America on Wednesday.
Due to the cold weather in his country at this time of year,.... it'd be difficult for Mongolia to host that event.
The ambassador explained.... he is aware that Ulaanbaatar was one of the final candidates for the first Kim-Trump summit,... and that Mongolia's president was enthusiastic about the opportunity.
The country's close distance to the regime and ties with both sides had made it a strong candidate venue.
This now narrows down the speculation to three locations -- Bangkok, Hanoi and Hawaii.
