The Korean Intern and Resident Association's newly-formed emergency response committee has decided that all trainee doctors return to work today,... officially ending their weeks-long strike.
The decision comes after the committee held an over-night meeting which only wrapped up a few hours ago.
The doctors had been protesting government plans to recruit thousands of doctors over the next 12 years,.. with many being sent to work in rural areas.
The committee says,... the majority of its members wanted to return to work.
