Trainee doctors protest against plan to increase number of medical students

Trainee doctors in their third year are participating in the nationwide strike held today to protest the government's plan to increase the number of medical students.
They're to join thousands of other trainee doctors, comprised of interns and residents in their fourth year... who went on strike the previous day... prompting major university hospitals in Seoul to delay surgeries.
The number of trainee doctors partaking in the strike... scheduled to take place on Sunday... is set to increase from today's figure.
Regarding this, the country's health minister Park Neung-hoo urged medical personnel to keep their positions and refrain from taking part in the strike amid the rising cases of coronavirus in the country.
