Typhoon Maysak moving towards Korean peninsula from east of Philippines

The ninth typhoon of the season, Typhoon Maysak, is approaching the Korean peninsula from waters off the east coast of the Philippines.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the tropical storm formed some one-thousand kilometers northeast of Manila at 3 PM Friday.
Approximate locations based on a 10 AM forecast show the typhoon will reach some 290 kilometers south of Jeju Island at 9AM on September 2nd, next Wednesday.
If it maintains its current direction, it'll bring heavy downpours and strong winds to the nation's southern regions, as it sweeps by near the southern port city of Busan early next Thursday.
