1 The ancient city of Dwarka is marked as one of the oldest civilizations known to mankind.
2 Dwarka has submerged about six times and the modern city is just a portion of the massive ancient town.
3 Harivamsa scriptures state that Dwarka was either largely built on submerged land or emerged magically from the ocean.
4 This legendary ancient city was Lord Krishna’s abode made of gold and was constructed by Vishwakarma.
5 In the Hindu mythology, it is quoted that Dwarka got ultimately destroyed due to arise in water level.
6 This incident is mentioned in Mahabharata and is said to have occurred after Lord Krishna’s death.
