President Moon says relations with Japan necessary in pursuing peace on Korean Peninsula
  • 5 years ago
President Moon Jae-in is calling on South Korea and Japan to cleverly handle their uncomfortable history,… and secure future-oriented relations that are affected by what happened in the past.
Speaking on his flight to New Zealand,... President Moon said it's hard to say the relations are smooth as historical events can always be brought up.
But President Moon stressed the need for Japan's participation in the denuclearization of North Korea and the ongoing peace process.
He said he hopes to take a two-track approach with Tokyo on North Korea,... something he says Japanese government will agree on.
