Typhoon Kong-rey left 2 dead and 1 missing, 470 homeless

Typhoon Kong-rey is now clear of the Korean Peninsula, but it caused significant damage on the southeastern coast as it passed over on Friday and Saturday.
According to the government of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province on Sunday, one senior citizen died and another went missing as they tried to flee from rising flood waters.
Another similar death was reported in Gyeonggi-do Province.
The flooding left at least 470 people homeless, most of them in Gyeongsangbuk-do.
There, roughly fourteen-hundred homes and six-point-six million square meters of farmlands were flooded.
