Typhoon Kong-rey hits southern part of Korean peninsula

Let's start with an update on the big storm affecting Korea this weekend.
Typhoon Kong-rey has reached the southern part of the Korean peninsula,... bringing strong winds and heavy rain with it.
The Korea Meteorological Administration says the typhoon landed in the southern city of Tongyeong in Gyeongsangnam-do Province around 9:50 A.M. local time.
The agency said it will pass Busan around now... and is expected to head toward the East Sea around 1 P.M.
Typhoon warnings are in place for Jeju Island and Gyeongsangnam-do Province...and typhoon advisories has been announced for parts of Gangwon-do Province.
