Thousands of people lined the streets of Swansea on the weekend in a March for Welsh Independence. Organisers estimate roughly 7,000 people attended the march, following on from others in Wrexham and Cardiff last year. One speaker at the march said Wales ‘has so much to share, but needs to find and use our voice on the international stage.

The Kings of Spain and the Netherlands were in Wales over the weekend to see Spanish Princess Leonor and Dutch Princess Alexia graduate from Atlantic College. The young royals have both attended the college for two years and are just the latest in a long list of foreign royals attending the prestigious college.

Four mountain fires broke out across the country over the weekend as fire crews were called to locations in Rhondda Cynon Taff, Macynlleth, Aberangell and Gwynedd. Many of the fires took several hours to contain and stop, with some having to return the following day.
