Yellow weather warnings are in place across South Wales as storm Ciaran hits the country. The warnings are in place on Wednesday and Thursday this week, and also includes 17 separate flood warnings from National Resources Wales. The met office warn damage to buildings and infrastructure is possible. A plastic ban has officially come into place in Wales as take always are forced to use more eco-friendly alternatives from now on. The ban on single use plastics is part of the Welsh government’s plan to eliminate waste in Wales, and follows similar bans that are already in place in Scotland and Wales. A man has collapsed in Birmingham after being attacked in Swansea on the day Leicester played Swansea in the championship. The man from the West Midlands is in a critical condition after rejecting medical attention while in Swansea. The man who attacked him is still unknown to police.
