Marcus Walsh, 41 of Plantation Close in Merthyr Tydfil was banned from owning dogs at the time of the attack when his 2 Bully XL dogs mauled a woman for roughly 7 minutes, causing puncture wounds and PTSD.

Yellow rain warnings are in place across Wales until Friday evening, with motorists in particular warned of poor driving conditions. A 300 million pound ski resort in Merthyr Tydfil could be a beacon of hope and opportunity for the area according to council leader Geraint Thomas. The proposed Rhydycar West leisure resort is currently being considered by the council and would feature one of the longest ski slopes in the world at 400m.
