Visa application for UK’s new points-based immigration system kicks in Tuesday

Starting Tuesday, EU citizens who want to work in the UK will have to apply for a visa,... the same as other non-European nationals.
That's because of Britain's new post-Brexit immigration system,... which puts an end to the freedom of movement enjoyed among EU member states.
It's a point-based system.
So, to get a visa, applicants need to get enough points awarded based on the level of skill required for a job offer, knowledge of English, and a minimum salary.
They should be paid at least 35-thousand dollars per year.
Applications are now open,... but workers could begin employment from January 1st, when the Brexit transition ends.
