In contrast, there was a significant dip in South Korean tourists to Japan this Summer.
According to Tokyo's immigration office, from August 9 to the 18th, just 12-thousand South Koreans entered the country through Narita Airport.
That's a 35 percent decrease from the same period last year.
The immigration office attributed the sudden drop to the downturn in bilateral ties.
A growing number of South Koreans have been actively boycotting Japanese products and services, including tourism since early last month.
