President Moon appoints 12 vice-minister level officials

President Moon Jae-in on Sunday appointed 12 vice minister level officials in the latest reshuffle of his administration.
Among them is Vice Health Minister Kim Ganglip who has been tapped as the new head of the food and drug safety ministry.
Kim has become a well-known figure because of the daily coronavirus briefings in which he appears.
Moon also appointed Vice Labor Minister Im Seojeong as the senior presidential secretary for jobs.
Other positions include vice trade minister, vice transport minister,... as well as replacements for the vice ministers of health and labor.
The top office said that the latest reshuffle puts in the frontline ministries... officials who understand the government's administrative philosophy and who can ensure the stable running of state affairs in the latter half of the president's term.
