New lockdowns in Italy and England as COVID-19 cases surge

The government of Italy is expected to impose new lockdowns in the coming hours on several cities with large outbreaks of COVID-19.
New cases in Italy on Saturday totaled nearly 32-thousand.
Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte told the newspaper Il Folgio that they hoped to wait, but may have to act sooner because the virus is spreading too quickly.
Those measures are expected to come as soon as Monday and could include a ban on travel between regions.
The UK, meanwhile, has surpassed one million cases.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced a four-week lockdown of England people will only be allowed to leave home for specific reasons like work and school.
After December 2nd, Johnson said England may be able to go back to a region-by-region system.
