South Korea's presidential office says John Bolton's memoir on the meeting between the two Koreas and the U.S. is distorted and damages faith in negotiations.
These remarks from Seoul's National Security Director Chung Eui-yong, who was Bolton's former counterpart adding the memoir is based on Bolton's own viewpoint.
He said the unilateral revelation of the details flies in the face of diplomatic principle.
Chung also called on the U.S. to take appropriate action saying Bolton's actions only serve to damage efforts to develop bilateral ties and shore up security interests.
The top office said Chung's message has been relayed to Washington.
