'남북경협' 북미 협상 카드 될까... 핵담판 영향은? - 우정엽 박사 대담

We now have joining us Dr. Woo Jung-yeop, a research fellow at the Sejong Institute.
1 - President Moon spoke with Trump on the phone, and according to the Blue House readout, he emphasized South Korea's willingness for inter-Korean cooperation in order to encourage North Korea's denuclearization. He even talked about it lifting the burden for the U.S. President Moon seemed to have asked for sanctions exemptions for inter-Korean projects. Would you say he is framing it as a win-win situation to President Trump?
2 - President Moon is said to have gone as far as to give specific examples such as the inter-Korean rail and road reconnection projects. Would you say he is showing his economic incentive card to Kim Jong-un as much as Trump?
3 - President Moon seems to already be thinking past the summit in Hanoi and what is to come next. How much do President Moon's plans for inter-Korean exchanges hinge on a successful North Korea-U.S. summit?
4 - How actively do you think President Trump will push that card President Moon is offering? Do you not think Kim Jong-un would want Trump to present his own U.S. offer?
5 - President Moon Jae-in has said that he hopes that the summit in Hanoi will be another turning point in North Korea's denuclearization, as well as the Korean peace process in general. Do you think it will be that significant?
6 - Trump has said he expects the summit to go well, but he's tempered expectations saying that he is in no rush to see North Korea's denuclearization, that he has no pressing time schedule, as long as North Korea does not conduct any missile or nuclear testing. What does this suggest for next week?
7 - Trump's pointman on negotiations with North Korea, Stephen Beigun, and his North Korean counterpart Kim Hyok-chol are meant to meet in Hanoi in the next day or so. The previous time they met, Beigun said all they did was lay out their positions. Do you think they will be able to carry out their negotiations, with only a week left?
