South Korea's 21st National Assembly will begin its duty in the coming hours, the first working day for lawmakers since the start of the new parliamentary term.
One of their most pressing goals is approving a third COVID-19-related supplementary budget by the end of June.
Members of the ruling party, government and the presidential office will discuss the scale of the extra budget on Monday.
The administration is aiming to submit the bill to the assembly by the end of the week.
Rival political parties will also discuss finalizing who will fill roles within the assembly's standing committees.
