Social distancing guidelines crafted by the U.S. federal government to stem the spread of coronavirus expired on Thursday.
President Trump announced on Wednesday that the six-week long restriction will not be extended.
It is now up to each state to decide what to do next based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
With what is likely to be welcome news for the 30 million who have lost their jobs, some U.S. news outlets report at least 28 states will be partially reopened by the end of the week.
But, there is an air of concern over a possible second wave.
Total fatalities in the U.S. have exceeded 63-thousand while over one-million have been infected by COVID-19.
