According to a defense policy act, American troop presence in the nation cannot be reduced.
The U.S. National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 was made public yesteardy... after being approved by the Armed Services Committee last month.
In one of the sections, it's stated: USFK, being directly involved with the denuclearization of North Korea, cannot be downsized and this is non-negotiable.
The new act moved to the Senate on Monday... and now the final conference committee comprised of House and Senate members will work out any differences before it is put to a vote.
