No plans to downsize U.S. Forces Korea confirmed

Washington confirmed there won't be any downsizing of American troops stationed in South Korea.
The decision was announced in a meeting to prepare for the signing of the 10th Special Measures Agreement.
It should dispel such rumors which came about after reports on the matter by the New York Times on May 4th.
Seoul's foreign ministry explained the result of the third meeting for the SMA that Washington has no plans to change the size or character of the U.S. Forces Korea, that instead America's security pledges to the Peninsula was reaffirmed.
