Deforestation in Brazil increased by almost 3-hundred percent in July compared to the previous year.
That's according to Brazil's National Institute for Space Research on Tuesday.
Around 32-hundred square kilometers of the Amazon rainforest was destroyed in July... that's an area five times bigger than the city of Seoul.
It's also an eighty-eight percent increase from the deforestation of the previous month.
Brazil's president Jair Bolsonaro claims the research is inaccurate and damaging to Brazil's image.
