Deforestation in Brazilian Amazon has increased nearly 30% since August 2018: Report

Data from Brazil's National Institute for Space Research shows deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon has hit its highest rate in more than a decade.
The institute says deforestation increased nearly 30-percent between August 2018 to July 2019,... compared to the same period the previous year,... marking the highest rate of deforestation since 2008.
The cleared area, which spans over 97-hundred square kilometers,... is larger than Yellowstone National Park in the U.S..
The report also highlights how President Jair Bolsonaro's policies are driving the destruction.
