Nearly 9 centimeters of snow blankets Seoul amid freak November cold snap

Let's start with the freak weather we woke up to... here in Seoul.
It's still only November,... but the South Korean capital was coated in a thick layer of snow for most of the day.
It was the first snowfall of the season,... with nearly nine centimeters piling up in Seoul,... an amount not seen in a first snow of the season since records began in 1981.
The surrounding Gyeonggi-do Province was coated with around six centimeters of snow.
Snow advisories, which were issued in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do Province and other upper regions of the country have now been lifted.
Despite most of the snow melting since,... it's advisable to drive carefully as roads remain quite slippery.
