Korea climb to 53rd in FIFA rankings... highest ranking this year

South Korea's men's football team have climbed two spots to 53rd in the FIFA rankings, their highest position this year.
In the October rankings released by FIFA on Thursday, South Korea gained six points from September, moving up to 53rd, level with Jamaica on 1-thousand-4-hundred-one points.
South Korea's 2-1 victory over Uruguay in a friendly match on October 12th helped them move up the rankings.
They face Australia and Uzbekistan next month in friendly matches in Brisbane, Australia.
