South Korea's baseball team remains in third place in the World Baseball Softball Confederation rankings.
With a total of 4-thousand-5-hundred-thirty-four points in the updated rankings released Friday, Seoul trails the leader of the pack, the United States and the runner-up: Japan.
The WBSC rankings are based on the national team performance records between 2015 and 2018 at various international competitions, from under-12 level to professional teams.
The top 12 countries in the rankings at the end of this year will qualify for the 2019 Premier 12, which will be a preliminary contest to determine which countries qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
