We're learning that Seoul's top intel agency reported the cases on imports of North Korean coal... to the presidential security office last October.
A recent probe revealed that three local firms imported the regime's products from Russia -- an apparent violation of UN resolutions and sanctions -- raising questions whether South Korea was implementing the punitive measures on Pyongyang.
The chief of the National Intelligence Service informed a parliamentary panel regarding the matter today,... and lawmakers quoted him as saying he brought up the issue, though not directly to the president.
