Following the drone attacks on Saudi Arabia's oil production facilities over the weekend,....the South Korean government says, the attacks won't have immediate impact on Seoul's oil imports or the local economy.
In a meeting with financial institutions on this morning,... the first vice minister of finance, Kim Yong-beom said,... the government will take measures to stabilize oil supply,... adding that Seoul will secure alternative sources of oil imports and consider releasing its strategic oil reserves if necessary.
Global oil prices have been volatile following the drone attacks,... with U.S. oil futures jumping 14-point-7 percent to settle at 62-dollars-and-90-cents a barrel, the biggest spike since January of 2009.
