BMW to begin massive recall in South Korea on Monday after engine fires

BMW is set to recall over 100-thousand cars in South Korea from Monday... after a recent spate of engine fires.
This comes as the local unit of the German auto giant said it will recall 42 different models after doing emergency safety checks on all models with an exhaust gas recirculation component,... which the company blamed for the fires.
According to industry sources,... BMW's local unit is working around the clock to secure the parts from its headquarters in Germany,... with a plan to complete the recall this year.
Last week, South Korea issued an order to suspend the operation of all BMW cars subject to recall that have not received safety inspections.
