Pyeongchang, Searching for the secret to memil(buckwheat) dishes

Every fall, Pyeongchang of Gangwon province becomes scenic with the beautiful buckwheat flowers at its full bloom. Also various buckwheat dishes have developed here.

Memil makguksu(noodle served in a chilled broth) is a tasty dish made with buckwheat noodles with all-natural, fresh fruit and vegetable broth. Memil bibim-guksu(mixed noodles) is memil noodles prepared with buckwheat sprouts, fresh vegetables and fruits, mixed with spicy sauce. Memil yukhoe bibim guksu is served with Hanwu(Korean beef) yukhoe(ground raw beef seasoned with various spices or sauce) from the highland cattle raised on clean grass Pyeongchang.

Also, at Korean traditional food experience theme park, healthful memil jeonbyeong(buckwheat pancakes), made with various in-season vegetables are introduced.
