Tense Standoff Between Protesters and Police

Violent clashes and protests continued in Kiev on Wednesday, as opposition leaders rejected President Viktor Yanukovych’s offer of talks. Protesters instead called for Yanukovych to sack his government and release all recently arrested protesters. Riot police cracked down on the pro-Europe protesters in Kiev’s Independence Square in the early hours of December 11 and these videos show the tense standoff between the two groups on Wednesday.
