Protesters in Kiev toppled a statue of Vladimir Lenin on December 8 following a large opposition demonstration in Independence Square. Hundreds of thousands of people turned out on Kiev’s Independence Square on December 8 for a protest in favor of closer ties with the European Union. This video shows the moment the statue is brought down by protesters.
