Ukrainian riot police blocked the entrance to Kiev City Hall on December 11 in an attempt to clear the building of anti-government demonstrators. Protesters drove back the riot police and, in freezing conditions, sprayed water on riot police from the upper floors of City Hall. Missiles were also thrown at the police.
