신규확진 8일만에 60명대로…정세균 총리 "교회 중심 집단 감염 우려"

COVID-19 continues to spread at religious gatherings in South Korea, including churches in the Seoul area.
Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun has called on churches to consider holding their services and other events online... and has urged them to follow strict quarantine rules.

The health authorities confirmed that Wangsung Church in Seoul had a total of 27 cases,... and another church in Anyang, Gyeonggi-do Province, had a total of 18 infections as of 12 PM on Sunday.
These clusters could get bigger,... especially at Wangsung Church, which has more than 17-hundred members.
Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun on Sunday called on churches to hold events online, and to abide by the quarantine rules.
"There are concerns about the recent resurgence in cases at churches. For the time being, please consider holding events virtually, and when this cannot be done, please abide strictly by the quarantine rules."
As for so-called "high-risk facilities",... like buffet restaurants, distribution centers and singing rooms,... he assured the public that the way they're logging visitors using QR codes will enable fast tracking of cases... safely and conveniently.
He also encouraged relevant ministries and regional governments to get the system in place at other facilities as well.
Meanwhile, South Korea reported 62 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
Of those, 40 were local transmissions and 22 were imported.
14 cases were reported in Seoul, 17 in Gyeonggi-do Province, and another 6 in Daejeon.
The nation's total number of cases stands at 12-thousand-715.
There were no new deaths,... leaving the death toll at 2-hundred-82.
