I'm Jace. I'm over here at The Fifth Estate in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I'm here to teach you how to make a Manhattan. It's one of the classic cocktails. You might have seen Don Draper drinking it. So first off we're going to chill our cocktail glass and fill it with ice and water. While that's chilling, we're going to take our mixing glass and build our cocktail. Start of with rye, we happen to use Old Overholt. So we'll do 2 ounces of this. There we go. We're going to use a half an ounce of sweet vermouth and then a dash of angostura bitters. We're going to stir this. So we fill it with ice just to a level of the liquor. Take our stirring spoon, give it a good roll around. Empty the cocktail glass. Get our garnish ready, which is a Maraschino Cherry. And we strain the cocktail into the glass. Your Manhattan.
