A man has been charged with attempted murder in relation to a stabbing in Aberfan on Tuesday. 28 year old Daniel Mihai Popescu of Merthyr Tydfil was taken into police custody and charged after police were called to an incident on Moy Road on Tuesday morning. Eyewitnesses say the 29 year old victim was pregnant.

Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said it was a mistake for Wales and other devolved UK nations to have different messaging on covid, despite calling it their natural and proper right. Johnson and some of his former colleagues have said that needs to change in the future, something Mark Drakeford disagrees with.

Members of the Senedd have hit out at Pontin’s owners after their Prestatyn site closed with immediate effect earlier on this week. Staff at the site allegedly only found out about the decision, which could cost up to 200 jobs, via social media.
