That's the second-highest daily number of confirmed cases.
The nation reported over 12-hundred cases the previous day.
There were 20 more new deaths, raising the death toll to 793.
Noting that the virus positivity rate among suspected patients now exceeds two percent, health authorities urged people to refrain from holding year-end gatherings.
And the government will decide if they will raise social distancing to level three on Sunday.
