UN waivered sanctions on 7 COVID-19 relief projects for North Korea in 2020

In 2020, the UN exempted 25 projects providing humanitarian assistance to Pyeongyang from international sanctions.
That's according to VOA, which cited figures released by the UNSC Sanctions Committee on North Korea.
Seven projects were aimed at helping the regime respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The remaining 18, focused on increasing access to food and water,... as well as providing medical support.
17 projects were exempted from sanctions in the first half,... and only four since July.
