Data from the Bank of Korea showed on Tuesday that the Business Sentiment Index for all industries stood at 64,... down two points compared to the previous month.
A reading below 100 indicates pessimists outnumber optimists.
By sector, the BSI among non-manufacturing businesses fell four points on-month to 62, with leasing services and wholesale and retail industries the most pessimistic.
But the BSI among manufacturers edged up by two points marking 68 mostly due to pick up in steel product prices.
