Business sentiment among South Korean companies warmed up this month, continuing such trend for three straight months,...riding on the back of a gentle recovery in exports and domestic consumption.
Data from the Bank of Korea showed on Thursday that the Business Sentiment Index for all industries in July stood at 60,... up 4 points on-month.
However, the figure far under the 100 threshold that indicates pessimists outnumber optimists.
By sector, the BSI among manufacturers jumped 6 points on-month to 57,... recording its steepest rise since October 2013.
The BSI of exporting manufacturers stood at 67,... soaring 8 points compared to the previous month.
For non-manufacturing businesses, it was up 2 points to 62.
