Food shortages in N. Korea amplified by wettest rainy season since 1981: Report

The main harvest season in North Korea, which runs through April to September, has been the regime's wettest in almost 40 years, making the North's food shortages even more acute.
This is according to a new report from the Switzerland-based crop monitoring organization GEOGLAM.
Heavy downpours and widespread flooding in August inundated the main producing southern region, including the Hwanghae-do Provinces.
While the regime is rebuffing international aid offers, the report warns the lack of food will become even worse due to the COVID-19 pandemic and typhoon damage.
