U.S. to reportedly allow American companies to work with Huawei on setting 5G network standards

The U.S. will reportedly permit American companies doing business with China's Huawei to work together in the standards required to set up next-generation 5G networks by amending current roadblocks.
Citing sources,... Reuters explained Monday that the U.S. Commerce Department and other agencies signed off on the amendment,... which is now awaiting publication in the Federal Register.
This comes about a year after the Trump administration placed Huawei on the Commerce Department’s so-called “entity list,” restricting sales of American goods and tech to Huawei.
