Huawei launches 5G lab in S. Korea

Chinese tech giant Huawei has launched an open lab for its next-generation 5G wireless network in Seoul, but amid recent the blacklisting by the United States, the event was kept low-key.
Huawei said it plans to invest about five million U.S. dollars in the lab, and build a 5G ecosystem through cooperation with Korean IT firms.
The initial plan to invite the press was cancelled, but representatives from Korean companies attended the event.
